AlphaOops!: The Day Z went First

AlphaOops!: The Day Z went First“Zebra and I are SICK of this last-in-line stuff! This time we want to go first!”

Z is a bit tired of always being last and decides to take a stand, and demands that they do the alphabet in reverse .. at least that is supposed to be the plan. Seems some of the other letters have their own ideas of what order the letters should be in. The result is a hilarious comedy of letters, that will delight any child young or old.

The graphics are simple and colorful and complement the writing well. The illustrations of the letters remind me a little of the “Letter Factory” video by Leapfrog, in terms of bringing the letters to life.

My four-year old is able to appreciate the comedy of the situation. Whereas my two-year old doesn’t quite get that all the letters are mixed up, but she loves to recognize the letters and breaks into the A-B-C song every time I try to read the book.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

“A told B and B told C, I’ll meet you at the top of the coconut tree.”

This delightful, colorful ABC book will have young kids laughing and asking you to read it again and again. Young letter ‘a’ is a bit of a troublemaker daring the other young letters to follow up the coconut tree. What happens when all the letters are in the tree, “Uh-oh” is right. That is when the fun really starts with the whimsical words and rhyme.

The book shows both uppercase and lowercase letters in a humorous way. It is good for teaching letter recognition to toddlers.

Recommendation: Add to Home Library
